Winning the 2018 Edison Gold Award, one of America's most prestigious awards in the field of innovation, WeWALK solves many challenges that visually impaired people face in daily life with its technological features.
According to the data of the World Health Organization, there are 253 million visually impaired people in the world; traditional walking sticks do not respond to many everyday problems of the visually impaired, since they do not have any innovative features other than the foldability dating back to the 1900s. WeWALK, the world's smartest cane, which Vestel engineers, YGA (Young Guru Academy) and Mete Mordağ, undertake product development, aims to solve the problems of the visually impaired. It also holds the 2018 Edison Gold Award, one of America's most prestigious awards in innovation, awarded to companies like Apple and Tesla. Yes, this time, one of us is also on stage with a proud project. We had a pleasant conversation with Mda Mordag, the founder of Mordag Design Studio, in which we admire the genius, where we talked about the story of WeWALK, the emergence process and other industrial design projects.
