An expansion joint or movement joint is an assembly designed to safely absorb the heat-induced expansion and contraction of various construction materials, to absorb vibration, to hold certain parts together, or to allow movement due to ground settlement or earthquakes.
Asprofil floor expansion joint system introduces a more effective stress distribution on the members under vertical loads and establishes the required strengths with less usage of material. This is established by using concentric contours on the profile arms and organic shaped details, as in the bone structural system. This approach results in a more effective stress distribution among the profile network thus reduces the max stress built under the subjected loads.
Asymetrical Floor Joint System:
- For joint gaps: 80-120mm
- Movement capacity = %24
- Visible surface shows no gaps
- Solid all aluminium assembly
- Profile absorbs movement in three directions
- High load capacity
Symetrical Floor Joint System:
- For joint gaps: 150-200mm
- Movement capacity = %30
- Visible surface shows no gaps
- Solid all aluminum assembly
- Profile absorbs movement in three directions
- High movement capacity
- Suitable for seismic applications
